The unique Green Zone easy finish system provides a level playing field for all.
Developed in conjunction with the Junior Darts Corporation (JDC), the Green Zone dartboard features an easy-to-use handicap system, as in Golf.
By playing the JDC Challenge routine on GoDartsPro you can easily check your handicap level.
WHAT IS THE GREENZONE
ALL BOUT
The JDC Greenzone is a darts handicap board. To allow beginners to compete against experienced players fairly.
Players are graded using the JDC scoring system and this then gives the player after 8 weeks a average based on their performance on the JDC Challenge.
The gradings are :
WHITE | PURPLE | YELLOW | GREEN | BLUE | RED | BLACK
each colour has its own place in the JDC handicap system
-
White (avg 0-150 points) 301 finish in the greenzone (NO DOUBLE REQUIRED)
-
Purple (avg 150-300 points) 301 finish in the greenzone (NO DOUBLE REQUIRED)
-
Yellow (avg 300-450 points) 501 finish in the greenzone (NO DOUBLE REQUIRED)
-
Green (avg 450-600 points) 501 finish in the greenzone (NO DOUBLE REQUIRED)
-
Blue (avg 600-700 points) 501 standard rules, finish on a double
-
Red (avg 700-850 points) 501 standard rules, finish on a double
-
Black (avg 850+ points) 501 standard rules, finish on a double
When you are required to finish in the greenzone that player must break their score of 301 or 501 and then must finish in the greenzone.
So if a player requires 16 with 3 in hand and they hit 20 with first dart they have broken their score and then must hit one final dart into the greenzone area to win the leg.
However is a senior player (Blue, Red, Black) needs 16 with 3 in hand they must finish on a double.

Academy Lead Coach
Shaun Rogers
I have played darts since around 2007, and i have been privileged to play and practice with some of the best players in the world.
I have previously been a football coach so i understand the importance of building sessions to help develop players in areas that they need to improve.
The aim of our academy is to help the younger players of Stoke and Staffordshire improve their darts and understanding of the game.
